I live in hot humid East Texas zone 8b. I want to direct sow some flower seeds this fall. What do you all suggest for being fairly EASY and RELIABLE and must be happy to be direct sowed into the flower beds?
Of course, next question is...when should I plan on sowing the seeds (thinking 6 weeks before first frost date?)
Thanks in advance for your assistance and suggestions.
Sorry MPF,can't help you here.Fall is my favorite time to divide perennials.Buy end of the season perennials and shrubs from nurseries at discount prices. It is also the time I harvest seeds from my plants to WINTER SOW.I have tried a few times to plant seeds in the fall.Never really had very good results. Most of the seeds would rot on me.Winter sowing works and works well for me.I am sticking with this method.Edge
