Beginner Houseplants: Rat tail Cactus growth

Author Content Mirror13 Columbus, NC July 01, 2009 03:25 PM Post #6764307 Hi, Got this cactus as a gift a couple months ago. Some of the cactus stems are getting thin and curling up on the end. None of the stems were thining or curling when I got it. Normal growth? Too much water/light or not enough? thanks! The flowers were vibrant magenta and plentiful - somewhat reminiscent of christmas or thanksgiving cactus blooms.
