My Grandma planted this tree in her backyard over 30 years ago. She says it is a eucalyptus. Is this correct? She lives in Tucson, Arizona

from the distance, the trunk looks like it could be one of the many Eucalyptus, but i'm not that familiar with most species.

I couldn't find E. rudis in PF, but I am glad to know everyone thinks it is some kind of eucalyptus

The fruit capsules of Eucalyptus spp are used for identification. See the following and compare to your Eucalyptus : http://www.hear.org/starr/plants/images/species/?q=eucalyptu...
