I have a J & P Black Cherry floribunda that I bought about three of years ago. Last year it was gorgeous and real tall . I trimmed it short in the fall and placed a cardboard pyramid over it for the winter along with more than 3/4 full of wood chips inside and out like I did the year before. It is in line with eight other Floribunda rose bushes that were all planted at the same time. I lost 1 this spring and now this one won't come to life. The other bushes have grown past it even in this rain and are flowering crazy. This Black Cherry has grown very little maybe 3-4 inches and has 2 tiny buds. Last year it was almost 5' tall! The leaves instead of being dark green are pale green with red veins . Do you have any idea what is going on ? Did I do some thing wrong? In the spring, I discarded the dead leaves and pulled away the wood chips.I then instead of using Miracle Grow I used Bayer 2-1 to try to eliminate the bugs . Any suggestions what to do to bring this plant back?
Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !
