We moved recently, and so far no Charlie; however, I had the same love-hate relationship with it in our former yard - IT WAS EVERYWHERE. There's no place that it won't go - and vigorously. I tried to just see it as one of God's creations and be happy for the sweet flowers in spring, but I am happy to be rid of it. Thank you for the nice article, Sharon.
Luck to you, Lily, because when my son lived in Indianapolis for a few years, I found Charlie creeping into his yard, and I have an aunt who lives in Hope, not so far south...and he grows well there, too. I do have to admit, though, it does cover a bare spot on my east end where nothing else will grow!
Thank you for writing, so good to hear from you. I hope your weekend is enjoyable, too.
