Spotted this spider and prey in New York City (Brooklyn Botanical Gardens) June 23, 2009.

Web was extensive.


This was photoshopped to sharpen, adjust exposure, and give greater contrast. Colors were enhanced but not changed.
Original photo can be supplied for true color if needed

This is my first post on this site. Picture is approx 800 pixels X 500 pixels. Is this too large?

Pictures are automatically resized on this site, so it doesn't matter - it's an Orchard Orbweaver, Leucauge venusta.

Anything under 1000 pixels wide will post without much difficulty. Anything over that can cause the system to stall.
