Well it ain't, but it is in one of the Hosta beds and has an interesting story. I have had this Eucomis longer than most of the plants in my yard. To the best of my memory I bought it 5 years ago and planted it in the front yard. It didn't do much so moved it again in the front yard. And then again, and then into the back yard in its current location in this Hosta bed. Last year it grew to maybe 10 inches with no signs of a flower. It must have been all the hot morning sun beating down on it. This year I planted lots of sunflowers in front of the east facing section of the Hosta bed to give them all more shade and cool from the hot AM sun. And consequently not only are the Hostas all doing much better, but this Eucomis has gone crazy. The leaves are 3 feet or longer and the flower just started growing and is growing like mad. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I know it isn't a Hosta but didn't know where to put it (well the Cactus/Succulent forum didn't seem like such a great idea je je je). Xuling
