I am a new peony owner. I purchased 2 peony bushes at the end of the blooming season. They were full of bloomes (so I know they "work") and were in large buckets. I planted them both in very large pots and conitinued to water them. Both of them developed a powdery mildew on the leaves. Here are my questions for peony experts...
How do I get rid of the mildew?
Do I cut them back to the base for blooming next year?
Do I bring them inside during the winter (Washington, DC/McLean, VA - zone 6-7)?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!!
