| This is the first to have bloom. I have several with the same leaf pattern. It has a few small light purple or pink blooms. Please let me know if you can what this is. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| At a guess I would say that the plant is one of the true geraniums or closely related species. Many of these are weeds. A picture of the flower would give a clue as to exactly which species this is. |

| It could be cranesbill, also known as hardy geranium. Look it up to check if it is the same flower. I have some of these and the flowers range from white to blue to fuschia.
But there are other things it could be. Do you ahve a picture of the flower? |

| I have a wild geranium (weed) with similar foliage and very tiny light pink flowers |

| I also think it's one of the weedy geraniums--but a flower pic would help confirm. |

| Here is the best I can do for a pic of the bloom. This plant is very small less the 4"x4" I planted a wild flower bed from seed, And I have been struggling to figure out what is a young plant and what is a weed. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| So do they get bigger? Would it have been included in a wild flower mix? Or is it just a radom weed? I like it so I don't think I will pull it unless it is hazarous.

| It is a native Cranesbill Geranium. They are a nice volunteer and not too weedy. They don't get any bigger. |

| This looks like a weed that shows up in my yard. I hope for your sake that it isn't the same thing, as mine are popping up all over my garden and lawn. If it is the same as my weed, I think it isn't a Crane's Bill. When I pull up this weed it has a single long tap root, which doesn't match what I've seen on Crane's Bill. Mine is also not clump forming. I've been planning to pull one and take it to my local garden center to find out what it is. I'll let you know what they tell me. |

Well, really, that's in the eye of the beholder! I don't think this one you have is going to get any showier. But if you want a native plant you seem to have it. |
