Hello iris lovers :-)

I have a small circular bed of bearded iris that is wa-ay done blooming. The bed doesn't look too hot - it has some weeds, etc and the leaves that are left are browning. All in all, I think I need to dig up the rhizomes and clean the soil of weeds, it just doesn't look healthy.

When is the best time to do this? Can I do it now?
