I grabbed a Nikon coolpix before going on vacation a year ago, and as a novice, I really love taking pictures with it. It takes the largest sd card (4gig?) which comes to about 2000 pictures, and don't forget about videos too. It has all the macro and micro, optical and digital zoom stuff. My camera also is in the garden when I am, there is always something new blooming, or an unexpected visitor waiting for it's picture to be taken.

I will surely take your advice and check out the books on your list to take advantage of all the settings on my camera.

Thanks for the great article. :D

Hey there!

What a happy, friendly shot! PERFECT. I just came from outside to do some quick watering of the pots and I scared up a large lizard. By the time I grabbed the camera, he was gone. I really must take it always. You never know what shot you will miss.

I cannot recommend those books enough. Particularly Kelby's. You will learn SO much.

Thank you again and all the best,
Ben

Here is a lizard shot for you, I took it on the same day. He just came out to sun himself. :D
