Hi folks,...my DW & I just returned from another visit to your beautiful state - flew to Grand Rapids, drove to Ludington and later on to Lexington for 4th of July celebration with friends there. Along the way,...while driving,...we kept seeing clumps of these flowers ...along the roadside...in ditches,...in folks yards and even some along the shoreline of Lake Huron. At first, I thought they might be Lilium philadelphicum (Wood Lily)...but they look too much like a Day Lily or Hemerocallis. Since they all looked basically identical...I'm guessing they must be a species. Sure would like to know and thought the quickest (and easiest)
way to find out would be to ask those of you in the know! Thanks a bunch in advance!
BTW - My friends gave me some small plants so I'm hopin' that our HOT Texas weather won't be too much for them! Thanks again!
