I had to share my sisters new patio. Her boyfriend had been going to a place that sells tile and marble and whatnot and getting their 'left-overs' from projects. This is what they did with it when they collected enough!

Oh my gosh, I just love it. Im redoing my patio and been trying to decide what to do with the floor. Did he put that over a cement floor? Tell him I want one lol. Linda

Nope, it was grass. So they had to put sand down and level it - the hardest part! The clear bricks around the edge (probably cant see them in the picture) have lights in them.

Hey! This is the "patio girlfriend" and I helped with that patio, lots! It was a lot of hard work, but worth it. It does get slippery when it is wet, but the grass planted in between helps. It dries fast I think because of the sun getting the granite so hot, so we do water it daily. We did place part of it over the patio that was already there, cement, and it doesnt lay as nicely as it does over the sand. I think "we" did a wonderful job. :) and yes...I am keeping him :)

Wow! You two did an Amazing job ... lovely patio! My DH of nearly 40 years is very handy and does lots of projects for me but I don't think I could ever get him to take on a project of that magnitude!

Heck, I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend like that around either. And my wife probably wouldn't mind too much as long as he minds his manners. ; )
