Looks similar to my polka dot plant when I over watered it and not having enough light/sun...

Stick your finger into the dirt down to the first knuckle. Does the dirt at the tip of your finger feel damp? If not then it needs water.

For one thing, the pot is too big for those two plants. There is too much soil that stays wet when you water and that leads to root rot. There aren't enough roots in the soil. Also, when the soil stays wet all the time the roots can't get air and they suffocate. The final straw was probably the fertilizer "stick." Those are terrible. They release the fert. at an unpredictable rate and only in a small area. Never use them for anything- tiny plant to a giant oak. The fert. salts pull water out of the roots and they die from dessication. You can try repotting these poor things in a smaller pot, letting them dry out before rewatering, and NOT fertilize unless they show signs of nutrient deficiency.

Well, I decided to bring it to the nursery with me. after all, there is only so much you can tell from a picture.
The people there told me that I was watering it to much. I am going to leave it out in the sun untill monday. I am thinking about repotting it to a smaller pot when it dryes up some. Now is not the time.
Thank you guys for all your help. I will leep you updated!!

I bought a tiny coleus earlier this year - it was about an inch or 2 tall. It's now MASSIVE but I keep mine indoors. It seems to like it indoors.

I was wondering if it has maybe been a bit too cold for it outside? Or have you had a lot of rain?

If you've been having loads of rain chances are it's simply overwatered as others have suggested.

ha I always though we didn't have many slugs too, I knew we had a couple...that was until I planted raddishes - they've been demollished a few times...

it had root rot. that happens when a newbee takes on a tropical plant.

I got a fittinta to replace it. I call it frankie. It also has pink leaves, and requires low light. I left it on the porch for the heat and the leave burned (oops). So now it is in my room, It has a few baby leaves popping up. I am probally going to get some of that superthrive stuff for it. I think I might move it in the spair room where there is no AC.
