I think this might be the wrong place to ask this question. But, I didn't know where else to go. I live in New England and have no problem in the fall cutting my Cannas back (they are in pots) - storing them in the basement - bringing them out in the Spring and they grow just fine. My green elephant ears, I dig up the blubs, store over the winter & replant in the Spring. My black elephant ears I had no luck with replanting the blubs in the Spring. Thus, I bring them into the house every fall & keep them alive through the winter (they are barely alive by Spring). I take them out when the weather is warmer and they have always come back beautifuly. Please if you know how I should treat my 'Maurelii' over our New England winters let me know. I would like to keep it alive for years to come.
Thanks
Debbie
