I was wondering to what height your daturas are growing.. most of the ones I've grown are short.. maybe 2 - to 3 feet tall.. some times close to 4'...
I was at a friends garden here in NYC the other day.. and in the middle of a bed of his was this 4-5 ft tall plant... with a dozen or so flowers on it... nothing about the plant... from it's 18" leaves..to the height looked like a datura... but it had datura flowers on it.. smallish white lovlies.. I asked about it.. and he agreed it was a datura... and called it a WILD one..[ he'd recently returned from a trip through Columbia. and on the Amazon some.] which of the wild ones might he be refering to.. it seemed quite early in the season here..for something so big...wild or not.. I'll surely find a few of the seed pods from this one.. I've a few poor pictures from my I-phone.. I'll try and post..oh.. I don't seem to have an adaptor for downloading.. I'll have to get down there again with my camera.. sorry
