I dug up a big patch of these today, not on purpose. The rizomes kind of broke apart into weird bits and pieces. In the past I have just replanted bits I dug up right away and they did fine. Do all of the pieces grow a new plant, or is there someway to tell what to plant? Will they keep for awhile dug up? I want to send some to my mother.
