Get the spiders off, paint it bright white, turn it up on it's side and use as a trellis for some pretty flowering vines!

I would do the same as plantladylin. I saw one in the dumpster one day while we were at the thrift store, but DH wouldn't stop so I could get it. I'm wanting every thing I see now and I think DH is getting a little tired of it. Hoping to find another one.

Samigal, would you be looking for another crib-rail, or DH? :-) I just had a similar response from mine about an old chair that had been set out on the curb for the junk man. I wanted to paint it all pretty and plant the seat of it with lovely things. No deal... he did not even slow down because he was "...not going to be seen trash picking!" Sigh, there will be other chairs (I hope).

Well, I might not have room to do any thing with this one. I was thinking about using it as a fence for my potted plants but I think it might be to high

you could with twisted wire around the neck of the pot attach it in various spots on the crib metal wire...would look pretty...

I reread my post and had to laugh, guess I will be looking for another crib rail. I've kept this DH for 49 years (not an easy thing to do) so might as well hold on to him. Just have to lecture him on the "finner things in life".

I would attach a pretty piece of wood, with legs and make a porch or garden bench. It would also make a great bench for a bedroom or entry way!!!! Have fun!!!

You could hang it on porch ceiling length wise and hang sun catchers and plants on it.

OOOH, and working off of dixiegril's idea, you could hang it anywhere that you need to hang things...horizontally in a tree to hang shade plants, in the shed to hang tools, from the ceiling in a kids room to hang toys and suncatchers...
