I've been warming up my green thumb this summer, and I recently bought a few Coleus plants.
I want to buy a few more and have them on my windowsill all through the winter. (I live in zone 7, Baltimore, MD) Is that possible? I was googling for answers and came across contradictory advice- some say Coleus are really annuals for outdoors, some say they make great house plants, lol.
So, is it reasonable to grow a few varieties in a pretty container and expect to keep it for a year or more indoors? Or, should I expect them to die in a couple of months and be prepared by taking cuttings and growing a new container?? Do they need anything special indoors, like extra humidity?
Thank you, and I'm excited to be here- I must take and post pics of my little garden!
