| Hey Brenda!
I see you posting juuuuuuuuust fine.
s'funny - when I was in Wpg, I couldn't grow cosmos, but a neighbour of mine grew them about 6' tall!
I haven't tried growing them in Calgary, though. |

| I have an old version of Paint Shop Pro that I use for cropping and putting text in a photo. I don't usually do much else. Once in awhile I may re-size or lighten something.
The dark red flowers are Salpiglossis, 'Chocolate Royale'. Painted Tongue is the common name and most varieties have lots of shading/veining in them. |

| If you go to Google, then "More", and choose "photos" you can d/l a prog called Picassa. It's free, and I've been using it for several months. I highly recommend it.
You can make collages, etc, and it's got a lot of features in it.

| echoes, I heard that Piccasa is a good one and 'free' would make it great! I think you can get Adobe Photoshop7 free and it's a great program too. ;o)
I'll be looking for that flower and hope it will grow in my part of the country. Its gorgeous! |

| Jo - I had Adobe Photoshop and the "trial" ended, so I don't think it's free.
Another DGer recommended Picassa, and I'm glad she did! Makes posting a bunch of pictures at once, so much easier when you have a collage. |

| Well you feel free to talk amongst yourselves. I am not looking for another photo editing program. I have several really good ones besides the PSP 5 available, but hardly use them. Also I am quite happy with the way I have my photos organized in my own folders.
The test thread was to test a photo that I was having trouble posting in my journal. It wouldn't load all the way. So I came here and tried it and then another photo, which loaded without a problem. It was never about editing.
This is a good discussion you are having, but perhaps would get more traffic in another forum?
BTW, Picasa is not for me, but thanks for the suggestions. |
