Thanks for the interesting article.

But when I grew sorrel from seed, just when the plants got lush and
inviting, something devoured the roots, and that was the end of my
sorrel experience.

sorrel in your pictures looks like two greens i have growing in pots here in north midlands of England,swiss chard and perpetual spinach.Both enjoyed by my tortoise Theodore and I.Everything growing to avast size here this summer due to light but persistant rain and hot sun alternately.Also,as a new subscriber,really enjoy your articles,thankyou ...JOY
