Can you sponge them with a wet sponge? You would know before you take them down. By hose them, I assumed you would be taking them outside. If you were quick and had a low humidity, sunny day, it might work. If they can tolerate some water, spray then with some Greased Lightning, the hose them off within 5 minutes. anastatia Vancouver, WA (Zone 8a) July 16, 2009 07:00 PM Post #6828223 yep, that's what I do; spray w/ cleaner then hose off asap. I will check w/ my dil as these are not my blinds but trying to thoroughly clean their house before precious one #2 arrives 1st of Sept. A mother in law, thing. And my darling dil loves my project list I take when I visit.
