My son's father-in-law uses milk on his tomatoes. No fertilizers just milk. Had some beautiful tomatoes last year. Don't know about this year. I can see how it would be good to keep down BER, because of the calcium. Don't see how it would work in the place of fertilizer. Have no idea of how he mixes it.
This recent quote comes from the Beginners Vegetable forum (in response to a question about preventing mildew on zucchini.) Has anyone had experience using what I assume is a spray of milk & water on tomatoes? I've heard of mixing milk & water 1:9 ratio as an anti-mildew solution for my dahlias, but have never tried it on tomatoes.
