I had stuffed a 40 lb bag of pelletized dolomitic lime into a 5 gallon bucket for storage and, of course, it rained and there was no lid. So, now I have a bucketful of dolomitic mud.

Well, when in Rome, throw mud on the tomatoes! Sort of.

I mashed it up really well and ended up with half a bucket of mud. I topped off the bucket with the garden hose. I know the lime is supposed to be sprinkled in to the potting mix, but hey.

So I scooped some mud into a container, added a bit more water, and poured a container full on each of my rooted cuttings. Then I watered the mud in til some flowed out the bottom.

I'll let you know if the maters are alive tomorrow. Who knows. Liquid dolomite might become all the rage!

Linda
