I have grown supertunias, the last two years, and have fallen hopelessly in love with them..lol Since they are not really cheap, I am wondering...since they are perennials in zones 10 and 11, could they be wintered over in a dark(un-heated but the furnace and water heater are down there,so it stays above freezing) basement.I have managed to winter over geraniums, a favorite tall (normally annual, for my zone)salvia, lantana, and purple fountain grass, by cutting them back and watering them once a month.I know I can take cuttings and winter the supertunias over, but I don't have the room, unless I set up another grow light.Have any of you wintered them over, under these conditions?
