I have been trying to grow bok choi for two years now. The plants are too skinny and just shoot up to about 4 inches tall then start to flower??? I have tried to thin them out. I also have tried to grow chinese cabbages they too just seem to get several nice leaves then a flower shoots out of the middle. Should I be pinching off the flower stems when they start? Are they still good to eat once they flower? I don't know why I am having such a time????
