We removed our 40' x 20' inground pool this year (50+ years old, and in the Northwest we just couldn't justify keeping it). The previous owner installed a Fafco solar pool heating system (5 panels) to which we added a Pentair SunTouch control system. It switches the solar system on/off (or to a gas heater) with a motorized, 3-way valve and computer. Very cool - set and forget.

We don't have any idea what to do with it now -- if anyone is interested in it, please email me - outside the forum, please. Thanks.

Why don't you convert it so supplement the power to your home? Or even run your hot water heater? Save on electricity bills.

My idea would be to either add it to your cold water inline before the Water Heater or
if it were us it would be used w/ a Hot Tub...
That would be perfect for your climate.
