I was going to post this in the Garden Art forum but decided to start here first, but not in allgrt8dogs thread so I don't hijack it. (I posted there first but will delete so Jackie can keep that thread intact.)

We brought this stump back from our recent camping trip and I'm trying to decide if putting it in full sun, with trailing flowers, if the UV rays will decompose it quickly/quicker. Should I place it in a more shady spot? Should I put something on it as a preservative? Comments welcome!
