I'm really excited because I have seen all the beautiful mosaic bowling balls and have been wanting to do one. I decided to practice on something smaller and got a six inch styrefoam (sp?) ball. I used some tiles and some broken Mexican pottery from a local import store. (They sell it for 15 cents a piece and most of the pieces were large enough to break into several pieces.) I had enough that my sister-in-law and niece also decided to try their hand and I also covered a medium size clay pot. All that said, here's my question. I sealed the grout with grout sealer, but I'm wondering if I should seal the whole thing? And if so, what would be the best type of product?
Any suggestions?

I used spar varnish on my mosaic tables- I figure if that isn't waterproof, nothing will be. ;) It comes in both spay-on and brush-on.

Thanks. I've sealed the grout and put them outside. I'll probably bring them in this winter if the temps drop. We can get a week or so of sub-freezing temps, but not always.
