I am not familiar with chickens' habits or how persistent they might be, but I think so. In fact, after finishing the article, my blueberries were almost done too. I left one whole side of the net wide open. Yesterday I noticed some remaining berries there, nice and blue. Either the birds figured they were all done and quit looking, or the net freaked them out , blocking them one way and blocking exit the other way. Who knows? I think it's worth a try against the chickens.
