I have Schefflera growing as trees on one side of my property, and they grow well all over San Diego. I'd like to grow one on the other side of my property, but my next-door neighbor doesn't want me to because he says the roots can hurt the foundation of his house.
I'd never heard this before, but when I look online, there seem to be people in Florida who attest to this happening there.
Does it happen in San Diego? Should I be careful planting too close to a structure?
Thanks.
