We have just put in a new landscape and I am a brand new gardener. The landscaper told me to water everyday for 45 minutes. We have soaker hoses. Is this correct? I have shasta viburnum, stellata magnolia, eleagnus, hydrangea, fothergilla and river birch trees. I appreciate any help.

Are you talking about a flower bed? Can you post a Picture? 45 min. everyday sounds excessive. How long have the plants been in the ground?

In my experience, soaker hoses water very slowly, so it should be ok.
