Local Food Institute 09
September 24th- 27, 2009 in Asheville, North Carolina
Learn how to develop local food market initiatives in your community.
Come to the Local Food Institute.
The Local Food Institute is an intensive two and half day program with
a packed schedule of classes, field trips, and shared mealtime
discussions. The Local Food Institute is organized by ASAP, a
nonprofit organization credited with sparking the local food movement
in Western North Carolina and making the Asheville area the
Foodtopia it is today.
That weekend is also the 3rd Annual True Nature Country Fair just outside Asheville, held by The Organic Grower's School.
Quoted:
A celebration of life lived in connection with the Earth. The Fair welcomes farmers, gardeners, homebuilders, craftspeople, social & political activists, conscious consumers and alternative healthcare practitioners to the Big Ivy Community Center September 26 & 27, 2009 to gather and enjoy live music, local and organic food, a kids program, trade show, raffle, and much more! The Fair is a wonderful event for the whole family, and we are proud of our new location, just 20 minutes north of Asheville, NC, in the wonderful rural community of Barnardsville.
