Hello again.
I am hopeful that someone here has successfully grown daylilies and bearded irises in the same raised flower beds before. I'm planning to add a long flower bed across the front of the house, with a modified split rail fence running length-wise through the middle of the bed. My idea was to plant a row of beardeds on the inside of the split rail and a row of daylilies on the outside of the split rail (along the sidewalk). I could change the level of the soil on each row so that the beardeds are higher, but I am wondering if the nutrient and moisture requirements are so different between the two plants that I would have problems. Any ideas, suggestions, or experiences you can share would be appreciated. Thanks!
