It has very dark green burgundy veined, velvety leaves and burgundy under the leaves and on the stems. It is late blooming. I have it in both a pot and planted in the ground in a protected spot. The one in the ground died down to the roots last winter but came back up this past spring. I winter the potted one indoors. Thank you for your help. Joy

It looks a lot like the Gartenmeister Bonstedt, but the colors coming up on my monitor aren't as deep.
Leaves on the Gartenmeister are deep green and have an almost velourish texture, and the flowers are red, in clusters like those in the photo.
Oh, and it grows in a very upright habit rather than draping.

Thank you! That discribes mine. The photo isn't very good so the color is washed out! And it was up-right growing until this year (I've had it for 4 or 5 years). I didn't cut it back like I should have. Joy
