Technology grinds on: Point & Shoots that are projectors

Clinton, CT(Zone 6b)

Nikon's just announced Coolpix S1000pj projects photos or movie clips "on any flat surface at up to 40 inches in size."

Samsung is running a teaser ad for a camera it plans to release details of on Aug 13th which may do the same thing (or may do something else..the video clips in the ad are obscure to say the least):

This a "must have" feature for anyone?

Cool. I wonder if this will doom projectors (doubt it but time will tell). Also curious on how dim the room light will have to be to see the picture/movie.

Here is a (fake) cell phone (is it a spoof on the iPhone?) that does the same thing (projector) but also is an electric shaver, harmonica, and brews a cup of coffee. But does it add cream and sugar?

Whoa....that is one slick and funny animation, hcmcdole. How did you find that? Do you know who is behind it and why?

Oh that is too good! I will have to get D.H. to look at it. He's a video person. I really was taken by the harmonica feature. That is truly a must have. As for the Coolpix watchamacallit, probably not. But, a harmonica, who doesn't need one?

The mystery deepens...try clicking on the release date on the Pomegranate phone video.
