Do you think that apple cider could be substituted for the apple juice?
Thanks,
Mike

I have never tried it.. start small though as vinegar has quite an overpowering taste sometimes! treelover3 Minneapolis, MN (Zone 4a)September 08, 2009 02:50 PM

No, not apple cider vinegar, but actual apple cider?

I think you could near substitute any fruit juice...it has the sugar to caramelize the meat. I wouldn't use vinegar, tho.
Sometimes I use Sunflower Seed Butter in my stirfries...could sub in this one too!!!
The recipe is very much like one I have for Thai Peanut Dipping Sauce, but it uses sugar instead of the juice. I like using the juice!!!
