We've had some ripe tomatoes to enjoy for several weeks, but all my tomatoes are in full production now. Big Beef, Steak Sandwich, Ball's Beefsteak, Lemon Boy, Dr. Wyche's Yellow, German Red Strawberry, German Queen, and Gold Medal are all at their peak. I'll have to remember that for future years - there'll be ripe tomatoes earlier, but peak production comes about three months after transplanting.
My wife and I canned this morning's picking today, then I went fishing. Retirement's a pretty good deal - I recommend it.
