Is this the same kind of bush they use to call a bridal bush? I have a bush similar in the picture you provided but my mother tells me they are differant. I need to know how to transplant this bush. It was here when bought my house 10 yrs ago and it has really come along way but to close to the house. It needs room to grow and I would love to see it in the back yard somewhere so we can enjoy a full view. I have trimmed it twice ayear since owning home but it grows up to 10 feet high an is out of room next to foundation. Need to know when to move and how far to dig and maybe if at all possible split it in half?! Don't want to hurt it. Last owner said it is over 50 yrs old!!! djpnbsp1@Yahoo.com thankyou

I don't know if I'd attempt to move a 50 year old bush. You might need to contact a local extension office with that question. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Or, ask in the Beginner Gardening forum:

One of the spireas is 'Bridal wreath'. Don't know anything about moving one. I think advice is required, the local ag. extension?
