Wow. My back yard is darn close to meeting the requirements listed. I have a massive laurel hedge all the way around it, lilac bushes, forsythia, a frog pond, (complete with native pond and tree frogs) bird feeders, a pear tree, sunflowers, and lots of other flowers. (and always working on getting more) I'm planning on getting a bat house, and I have a pile of dead brush I could move into the empty area under the cedar tree by our shed. I already avoid using chemicals because of my frogs.

I'm gonna go for it- that would be so cool to be certified. Thanks for the info, I never would have realized how simple it was! :)

Here's one of my froggy babies:

Excellent!

That's a great frog -- and fabulous photo! Keep an eye out for the DG photo contest this year; I think you need to submit some entries. :-)

Oh, another perfect photo! And that leaf just shimmers.

OK, gotta ask... what are you shooting with?

And have you found the photography forum?

I just have a little point-and-shoot camera, Canon Powershot A710. It does a pretty good job for me most of the time, especially for macro stuff. I'd love to get something with better zoom capabilities though, because to get my frog pictures I have to stick the camera right in their little faces. LOL!

I haven't been to the photography forum... I'll check it out! Thanks! :)

Here's my favorite tadpole shot- I swear he was smiling for the camera... hehe.

You're right -- I think he is smirking at the camera! LOL

You have very patient frogs. :-)

I did get a compact superzoom camera this spring and have had a lot of fun with it, but I have to admit the majority of my photos around here are still snapped with my Sony Cybershot P&S.
