Brought back a seed from the island of Socotra. My seed has sprouted and is growing very slowly. Have 3 leaves, turning brown. Too much water, or not enough? Help, please?

What type of soil did you use? Your name suggests that you know the type of soil to use for palms. Also, what type of date palm? I have started reclinata, canarensis, and dactilifera with the only limiting factor being too much heat and not enough water(some call that neglect). Please give me some details. I might could help.:)

Are you talking about the Cheech and Chong reference? Because that's where it's from. BTW, I pass on grass.

Yeah, the C&C reference.

Deb, I stay that way - it adds a 'certain something' to my personality, DH says...
