We have a backyard haven for bird feeders and enjoy most of them, however this year we have been "invaded" by huge flocks of cow birds, which are extremely "pesky" and they are "driving" my song birds out of the Bird haven in my back yard.
HELP!!!!!!!!

I let the feeders run empty for a few days in the spring when the hoards of Red Winged Blackbirds, Grackles and Cow Birds show up. That doesn't get ride of them altogether, but I since there is other food now for the song birds who are begining to fight over territory and they spread out any way, a couple of days won't hurt my over all plan for feeders. By mid summer, I am just putting out mostly just thistle.
