i am going to replace my bathroom sink, have scaned some websites and found some beautiful painting ontop sink with nice natural style patterns on it. but many people lean to hideaway sink because it is durable. i haven't used on-top sink, who would tell me something about it if you have used or using it? is it durable? how to make it stand longer?

Is this what you mean by an on-top sink? http://www.heartlandhomeimp.com/pics/granite_vanity_with_gla... If so, the durability is going to depend on the specific sink that you get--there are some of that sort of sink that would be very durable. Maybe if you could post a picture of the one you like someone could give you advice on it.

The second one isn't painted, it's made of glass and that's the color that the glass is. So you shouldn't have to worry about the color coming off or anything like that. Since it's a darker color, things like hard water spots, toothpaste splatters, etc will show up much more than they would on a white sink, so I think you'll have to clean it much more often to keep it looking nice. Also, the glass sink because of the strong colors doesn't give you as many options for redecorating in the future--with the white sink you can change all your other colors of paint, accessories, etc in your bathroom whenever you want without having to worry about whether things will coordinate with the sink or not.

With the white one you could go with whatever faucet you want as long as it's tall enough to work with that type of sink--it's plain enough that I don't think you need to worry so much about the color/style. If you're going for a modern look then something simple with clean lines will probably work best, but there are lots of different options so I'd say go shopping and find one that you like the look of.
