I just finished the most time consuming and detailed mosaic I've ever done. It's a Marilyn Monroe breadbox for my friend. Now I just have to paint the box and do the finishing touches.

I used black grout in between the black tiles to give a uniform black silhouette. And the hinge will be painted white so that the gap is not so visible.

This is excellent and something that I have wanted to do for a long time. How did you do this? Glue on the box or on a mesh and transfer over? Very nice.

HI Barbara,

I printed the Marilyn picture and used transfer paper to draw her on the box. (my freehand drawing skills were left behind during the evolutionary process :) )
