I'll start off by saying: "I don't like tomato juice."
I've already harvested over 100 lbs of tomatoes this season - -my hubby loves my homemade chili. So, I've been cooking down the tomatoes - he doesn't mind the seeds and skins being included - I strain the cooked, smooshed, tomatoes, pack them into containers, cool them down and freeze.
Hubby put the strained juice into bottles and offered me some. I told him I didn't like tomato juice -- but later I decided to give it a try. Well, I was sure glad I did - 'cause it was really wonderfully sweet. Nothing, absolutely nothing, like the canned stuff in the store! I added nothing to the juice, no salt, or anything else.
Now I have to amend my first statement to: "I love tomato juice from MY OWN tomatoes"
