Okay, this is a shot in the dark. A few months ago, there was a post, I don't even remember what about. But there were a few pictures posted back and forth. One in particular, was a dark red, with not many petals, maybe like two rows of semi-cactus-like petals, and I believe, dark foliage. I do remember it had a French name. The user told me the name, said a friend gave it to her/him, then later corrected the original name. I want to say the user was one who I personally don't see too much here on this board. But, I could be wrong about that. I searched all my posts, but couldn't find it. The reason why I ask is because I wanted to try to find the dahlia for next year. It was such a gorgeous variety. I have searched ADS and cannot find it. I found only one or two French named dahlias but none were it. Anyone with a recollection of this will have nothing but good karma and my utmost appreciation. Thank you in advance.
