4 years ago I went to Corfu and found a ipomoea indica, got a cutting and managed to keep it going by taking the root inside. I had tried numerous time to pollinate but it never happened, the blooms are about 2 inches across and have the purple hue.
I was given a plant of ipomoea indica ex Tenerife (Canary Islands) slightly more blue hue and flower size about the same.
I cross pollinated the two and here is the result, a giant floppy ipomoea indica with 3.5 inch floppy flowers that are hard to photograph because in the slighest breeze they move.and they are a lovely blue like the Ionian sea, here is the result
