I'm sorry about your maple, but at least it had a memorable passing. I ponder about the things I planted that just disappear from the face of the earth. Getting to the point of just letting anything that volunteers grow in my "garden"(though I'm already eyeballing the "winky blue" columbine. What make us keep doing this?!
Very funny article- loved the picture of the potted plant!
