I bought a flat of tiny coleus plants from K-mart. I planted them up in several containers including these window boxes. I put in time release fertilizer at the time. I thought they would grow into ordinary smaller leaved plants but hey, I got a surprise! They turned into the Incredible Hulks of my containers this year. There are also some from the same batch doing similarly in half baskets on the fence. I was (still am) amazed! The slugs got to them just a little, but they seem to be fine now.
