We will be needing a new roof in the near future and I'm curious about experiences, problems and advice anyone might have on the subject. We have a pitched roof with asphalt shingles that can't take any more weight. So, the old shingles will have to be torn down and probably repairs on the wood beneath. I'm considering solar panels. We don't have tons of money but would expect to be able to get a loan for a reasonable amount. Suggestions?
